The 144,000 of Revelation:

THE FIRST FRUITS:
Revelation 7:
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

THE REST OF THE BODY:
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 

Where are the 144,000? Are they still on Earth, preaching the Gospel, as has been taught? Where is the Scripture for this? Nowhere in the Bible. Where are the 144,000?

THE 144,000 ARE WITH HESUS:
Revelation 14:
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

THE 144,000, IN THE THRONE ROOM WITH JESUS:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

This truth is also established in 1 Timothy 5:19, Matthew 18:16, Hebrews 10:28, Deuteronomy 17:6 and  19:15.

Put aside the teachings of men and their opinions. Believe the Word of God:

These 144,000 are not Jewish men from Israel, evangelizing during the Tribulation or any such thing. They are out of the body of Christ, out of the church.

I don't know of 10 lost tribes of Israel although I remember hearing something about that many years ago (I was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost in September, 1980). What I do know is there are three (at least) witnesses in the Word of God that the church, the body of Christ, is a continuation of the 12 tribes of Israel. In other words, if you are born again then you are in one of the tribes.

Three Scripture witnesses:

James wrote his book to the 12 tribes of Israel and only to the twelve tribes of Israel. If you don't believe the church is the 12 tribes then you can rip that book out of your Bible, James is not talking to you.

2 - Revelation 7:2-4; - Angels descend from Heaven with the seal of the living God and seal the 144,000 servants of our God (born again Christians, servants), out of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 12 tribes by name are given. They are not Jewish disciples going around the Earth preaching the Gospel as has been taught but are raptured with the believers in verse 9. The 144,000 go with Jesus and remain with Him. The rest of the church (12 tribes) go before the throne of God. We see the 144,000 again in chapter 14:1-5; - standing with Jesus on Mount Sion. Jesus is not physically on Earth and neither are the 144,000 standing with Him.

3 - Luke 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
 Jesus is telling His disciples that they will have a part at the Judgment Seat of Christ, judging the 12 tribes of Israel or the body of Christ, the church.

Revelation 21:12 tells us that the holy city, the new Jerusalem will have 12 gates with the names of the 12 tribes of the children of Israel written on them. That is our City!

There's more. Much more.

They are in the church. People have been taught wrong by pastors, evangelists and others who have no business teaching Bible prophecy. Their teachings choke the Word and make it unfruitful. Jesus railed at the Pharisees for doing this. I've got news for the people who believe man's teachings over the Word of God - check this out:

James wrote his book to the twelve tribes of Israel, which would be the tribes of the 144,000. Meditate on that! If you don't believe a born again Christian is a part of these 12 tribes then just tear the Book of James out of your Bible. He wasn't writing to you.
