Todd Bentley: False Apostle My wife and I just happened to catch the "Sid Roth" program on DayStar last week. He had a guest named Todd Bentley. This is the first time that we have seen him or anything about him. I said to Kathy, "That guy's covered with big tatoos, all the way up to his neck, all over his arms. He had a silver piercing sticking out below his bottom lip". Gold rings on his fingers. Well, I understand that the tatoos could have happened before he was saved. But the piercings? They can and should be taken out. Surely the man on Sid Roth's program must know these are pagan practices. Watching, I saw that he was leading a "revival" in Lakeland, Florida. Kathy and I looked at each other.........."No way!" Yes, as obvious as this seems to be, I believe we cannot skip the message that is being portrayed, up front, for all the world to see: GOD DOESN'T MIND HIS CHILDREN TO GO TO THE HEATHEN TATOO AND PIERCING PARLORS AND "GET SOME". I've known just by reading my Bible that this is a pagan practice, recorded in the Old Testament. Last week was the first time that I saw a Christian wearing tatoos and piercings that they received after becoming a Christian. This is remarkable! I marvel that it's so easily accepted in the Body of Christ. Discernment truly is lacking in the Church. Has anyone thought of all of the baby Christians (and even adult) that will take Todd's leading (because he is God's annointed!) that it is OK to go out to the heathen's tatooing and piercing parlors and get themselves marked? They may even believe it to be a sign from God that they should do this especially to be able to "indentify and witness to the lost". I have thought that this tatooing and piercing craze has come on the scene and grown in popularity as a move from satan to prepare the world for the "mark" of the beast. Just one more tatoo! No big deal! (As it would have been years ago when only wrestlers and sailors mainly wore them). Jesus IS the Word of God! He would never contradict anything in His Word. Nothing, at any time. He does not change! His Word has authority over any manifestations that we see coming from any evangelist or other person. There is no grey area! What did Jesus say to His disciples on the Temple Mount concerning His return? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
