![]() We just got back from seeing the movie. It was by far the best and most important movie I have ever seen. We bought 8 tickets about a week ago. My family and 4 of my son's friends went tonight. We arrived early, at 6:30 for the 7PM movie. As I approached the ticket booth with a giant hand full of gospel tracts, I asked the ticket lady if I could leave them in front of the counter (my wife urging me:-) She smiled and said yes so I spread them out in neat little piles all over the ledge. Do you think I could have done this at any other movie? I don't think so! The atmosphere was totally different. Peace, calm, quiet, respect, politeness, humility prevailed from the outside of the theater and inside the lobby. All of the clerks were wonderful. Inside the theater it was the same. Fellowship in little groups all around. Everyone polite - excuse me, is this seat taken?, thank you, where are you from? The movie - I don't want to give it away. Scripture everywhere, great tie in scenes, showing what was happening and then flashbacks to Jesus telling His disciples what was going to happen. The music was incredible. It really added to the seriousness of the movie. All the characters were terrific. Ladies behind, in front, to the side, sobbing, moaning, crying. Tears running down my cheeks. My son and his friends...not a peep hardly. Incredible! You could hear a proverbial pin drop during the whole 2 hours. Glancing at the counter on the way out........there were about 15 - 20 tracts left on the ledge out of a hundred or so. Question and answer time at home afterwards. The resurrection was 15 or 20 seconds of awesome - the tomb, sunlight, the garments on the slab and then Jesus, alive with camera going from his face down to the nail hole in His hand. Did they show the resurrection? What more do you need? I really haven't even absorbed it all. When leaving the theater I thought to myself, any words I use will be inadequate. Brothers and sisters, this movie is from the Lord. He is doing something incredible RIGHT NOW throughout our land, even as Rosie O'Donald marries her girlfriend at City Hall in San Francisco. Know what I mean? I'm telling you flat out, THIS IS A SOVERIGN MOVE OF GOD. Get your eyes off Mel (pray for him) get them off critics and anything negative and let yourself fall more in love with Jesus and appreciate the unfathomable sacrifice He made for us. | My Movie Review | Liz Yamin's Testimony on The Passion of the Christ | A Study of Psalm 22 | | Tradition Has Replaced The Word Of God | Tradition Has Replaced The Word Of God, Pt. 2 | A Christian's Statement of Faith | The Acts Church vrs.
