Do you need a Breakthrough - Spiritually, Physically, Financially?

 I would like to encourage you.

 Some of you have written and need a miracle, a breakthrough.
 
When you have prayed and prayed and cried and cried and still haven't gotten through........add FASTING!

 When you have been to the doctors, the bankers, the boss and you still are left wanting, add FASTING!

Notice three things:

1. Fasting is found in the Old and New Testaments as a discipline for believers
2. Jesus said in Matthew 6:16: "....when ye fast...", NOT "....if ye fast..". This is obedience to the Word of God!
3. Jesus said, Mat 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Fasting will give you a breakthrough in ways that you will never have otherwise.

Going without food, for one thing, will focus your attention on your need and God's provisions in helping you to supply it. Fasting, prayer and Bible study will focus your mind on God and a Biblical solution to your need.

Myself and DW started off 2007 with an eleven day fast. We didn't pick eleven, we just gave out at eleven:-) It was the longest fast we'd ever been on together.  I couldn't begin to tell you the miracles and breakthroughs our family experienced all year, right up until Dec. 31st - miraculous healing of a hernia!!, business and ministry increase (don't forget bountiful sewing), joy in the Lord!, favor with others!, etc. Every family member experienced miracles.

I tell you now because it is over and a TESTIMONY to the dependability of God's Word and as a TESTIMONY to His Faithfulness!

I wouldn't have told you all year because I do believe what the Word of God says - to fast in secret

Fasting in secret, to me means what Jesus said - don't be like the hypocrites, bragging about it in public to be well thought of by men.

Fasting will bring your body into discipline with your mind and spirit! God's CHOSEN FAST is found in Isaiah 58! Read it carefully!

Our fasts are liquid/juice fasts unless it's three days or less, then maybe just water.

You do need water! Lots of it!

Look around you. We live in a time when the Bible declares, "their god is their belly!"

If there ever was a time to do some fasting and to believe God for great things, that time is NOW!
