 A Study of the Similarity of the Clinton Administration and Ahab and Jezebel: Ahab and Jezebel were the only husband/wife team to rule Israel. 1 Kings 16:31 Their reign was established as serving and worshipping Baal (it's the economy, stupid). 1 Kings 16:31 They lived in an Ivory palace (White House). 1 Kings 21:1 & 22:39 It was a time of great prosperity and many cities were built during their reign. 1 Kings 22:39 They consulted with false prophets and were into the occult. 1 Kings16:31-33, 21:26 & 14:9 Ahab did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all who were before him. 1 Kings 16:30 Jezebel was an instigater that stirred up his wickedness. 1 Kings 21:25 They caused the whole nation of Israel to sin (don't ask, don't tell). 1 Kings 21:22 There was a great famine in the land (physical, as well as Spiritual). 1 kings 17:1 & 18:21 There was a great falling away from the faith. 1Kings 18:21 Jezebel considered God's people as enemies of the state. Many were put to death and many went into hiding. 1 Kings 18:4,13 Ahab attempted to negotiate a "land deal" (White Water). 1 Kings 21:2 The negotiations broke down. 1 Kings 21:3 Jezebel intervened and by treachery and deceit obtained the property (Rose Law Firm). 1 Kings 21:7-15 An innocent man was killed because of this "land deal" (Vince Foster). 1 Kings 21:13 Because of this "land deal", the Judgement of God was pronounced upon Ahab and Jezebel.
