A NATION UNDER JUDGMENT

I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his

wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the

horse rusheth into the battle.

Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and

the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people

know not the judgment of the LORD. (Jeremiah 8:6,7)

9/11 was a wake-up call for this nation. 9/11, the most recognizable phone

number in our country. EMERGENCY! That's what you have when you dial this

number. A heart attack, a stroke, a shooting, a stabbing, a traumatic event.

When the planes hit the buildings we had an emergency! It wasn't long before

it dawned on the discerning - a spiritual message was involved here:

Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except

the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (Psalm 127:1)

A nation that has been in the process for years now, stripping every mention

of our Christian heritage from its land, found itself embarassingly

vulnerable to surprise attack.

Out came the "God Bless America" signs. They popped up all over the

landscape and people flocked to church. A couple of nationally known

preachers claimed it was a judgment from God and they immediately felt the

backlash from the talking heads of the news media. Even other nationally

known ministers distanced themselves, saying God actually was on our side.

President Bush held an ecumentical service in the National Cathedral.

Invited to lead the service was a Christian minister, a Muslim cleric, a

Buddist priest, a Rabbi. The nation watched and approved. President Bush

declared war on terrorism and proceded to attack Afganistan and later Iraq.

The price for Arab military help in the Middle East was dictated to

President Bush by Arab leaders: a solution to the Israeli/Palestinian

fighting. It wasn't long before the President of the United States announced

a new policy:

COLUMBIA TRAGEDY

In a speech on June 24, 2002, he called for an independent Palestinian state

living side by side with the Israeli state in peace. Bush was the first U.S.

President to explicitly call for such a Palestinian state. Gathering the UN,

EU and Russia, he began to force Israel to make concessions in a "land for

peace" deal.

On February 1, 2003 the Columbia Space Shuttle broke up on re-entry to earth

orbit and the remains were scattered all over East Texas, the center of the

crash being the city of Palestine, Texas. The discerning Christian observed

this tragic event, including the death of a Jewish Astronaut, and spoke out.

Coincidence or Consequence?

Alas Babylon! If only George Bush believed his Bible:

And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all

that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people

of the earth be gathered together against it. (Zecharia 12:3)

He's been told. Christian leaders have met with him and told him. More than

once. His actions indicate he has not listened.

ISRAEL BELONGS TO THE JEW

The Bible declares in Jeremiah and Ezekiel (and other places) that God would

bring His people back into their land in the latter times. After being

dispersed for 2500 years (since the Babylonian captivity, 582 B.C.) the Jew

came back into his land and the nation of Israel came into existance again,

May 14, 1948. God gave this land back to the Jew. Read it in Jeremiah 31,

50:19; Ezekiel 37, 38:8. Anyone, even the President of the most powerful

country on this planet, does not have the right to force them to give it

away. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. And

yet, that's what this nation, the United States of America, has done, led by

its last three presidents.

Israel's Unilateral Disengagement Plan:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_unilateral_disengagement_plan_of_2004#U.S._government_position

U.S. government position:

U.S. president George W. Bush endorsed the plan as a positive step towards

the Road map for peace. At a joint press conference with Ariel Sharon on

April 11, 2005 he said:

I strongly support [Prime Minister Sharon's] courageous initiative to

disengage from Gaza and part of the West Bank. The Prime Minister is willing

to coordinate the implementation of the disengagement plan with the

Palestinians. I urge the Palestinian leadership to accept his offer. By

working together, Israelis and Palestinians can lay the groundwork for a

peaceful transition.

And in his May 26, 2005 joint press conference welcoming Palestinian leader

Mahmoud Abbas to the White House, President Bush said:

"The imminent Israeli disengagement from Gaza, parts of the West Bank,

presents an opportunity to lay the groundwork for a return to the road

map... To help ensure that the Gaza disengagement is a success, the United

States will provide to the Palestinian Authority $50 million to be used for

new housing and infrastructure projects in the Gaza."

FORCED EVACUATION OF GAZA AND PARTS OF JUDEA/SAMARIA

On August 17, 2005, the first forced evacuation of settlers from the Gaza

began. Scenes of soldiers dragging settlers from houses, synagogues and the

rooftops of both were beamed around the world. Settlers dug up coffins of

deceased family and relatives and took them with them.

On August 23, the forced evacuation of the four West Bank settlements of

Ganim, Kadim, Sa-Nur and Homesh were accomplished.

HURRICANE'S KATRINA AND RITA

On the very same day, Tropical Depression Twelve had formed over the

southeastern Bahamas. Two days later, on August 25, it became Hurricane

Katrina. Crossing Florida as a Category I hurricane, she entered the Gulf of

Mexico and on the morning of August 29 Katrina slammed into the New Orleans,

Gulf Coast area as a strong Category 4 hurricane. Hurricane Rita followed.

The nation and the world watched as similar scenes were viewed, similar

scenes they had just watched in Israel over the last two weeks. Another

historic event:

Forced evacuation of citizens; soldiers taking people off rooftops;

evacuations under hostile fire; coffins strewn about in New Orleans and

along the Gulf beachfront; former residents now referred to as "refugees".

Coincidence or Consequence?

"I think everybody who is watching this process unfold understands, when

they see the pictures and the television images, that this is a very

difficult moment for these people who are leaving their homes, in some cases

the only homes that they have known,"

Does this sound like a reporter, witnessing the evacuation of the New

Orleans, Gulf areas? Actually it's State Department spokesman Sean McCormack

talking to reporters at an August 17 briefing...........concerning the

Israeli Gaza and West Bank evacuations!

U.S. Secretary of State Condolezza Rice, August 17, 2005:

In an interview with the newspaper (New York Times) on Wednesday, Rice also

expressed sympathy for Israeli settlers being evacuated from their homes in

Gaza.

"Everyone empathizes with what the Israelis are facing," she said, but

added, "It cannot be Gaza only."

Rice insisted that soon after the pullout is complete Israel must take

additional steps, including loosening travel restrictions in the West Bank

and withdrawing from more Palestinian cities", the newspaper said.

So, what is our attitude as a nation, having just experienced a severe blow

to our population and economy? The New Orleans Mayor got on the radio and

blasphemed our Lord. Three times I counted. Is this the attitude of

repentance? Is there a national attitude of repentance? Not that I have

detected. George Bush talked about the "good people" of New Orleans. This, a

city that was getting ready to host its 34th annual "Southern Decadence"

festival, a homosexual orgy of drunkeness and debauchery. Jesus said there

is none good but God. His point? Repentance. We all need to repent and turn

to God and His Holy Word. If not we will all likewise perish!

Conclusion: As President Bush, Secretary Rice and the US presses for further

withdrawals of Israel from their God given Abrahamic Covenant Land,

judgments will continue to strike this country. Coupled with our unrepentant

sins of murders, abortions, adultries, homosexuality, blasphemy, lying,

stealing, etc. The handwriting is truely on the wall. The last judgment a

nation can have is it being turned over to its enemies. Looking around at

the enormous influx of illegal immigrants (how many are planted

terrorists?), I would say this is very well along in the process.

Those of us who believe that God has shown them that the United States of

America is "Mystery Babylon" in scriptures (Jeremiah 50, 51), are still

witnessing the fulfillment of these passages. One that comes to mind lately

is:

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us

go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven,

and is lifted up even to the skies. (Jeremiah 51:9)

This message from scripture will be for the Jew and any Christian left

behind at the Rapture. Flee or face an overwhelming enemy force.
